Max H. Bastien, CFA®
Director of Investments
Max Bastien is the Director of Investments at JFG Family Office. In this role, Max helps lead the development, execution, and oversight of the firm’s investment philosophy and strategies across public and private markets. He oversees the firm’s investment diligence and the construction and implementation of client portfolios. His responsibilities also include sourcing new investment opportunities, monitoring and reporting on client portfolios, and managing and developing the investment team.
Prior to joining JFG, Max held a variety of investment, management, and operational roles focused on private equity and venture capital. His previous experience includes roles at Partners Group, The Broe Group, Three Leaf Ventures, and the State of Colorado Treasury. Max earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder and is a CFA charterholder.
Outside of work, Max enjoys exploring Colorado’s mountains through skiing, hiking, and climbing, traveling with his wife and two children, and spending time with the family’s two golden retrievers.
